INTRODUCTION
As part of reforms to ensure quality education is realized in all Catholic schools both public and private and in line with the Diocesan Strategic Plan and the Ghana Education Service standards, a three (3) member team was tasked to visit the Catholic Private Schools within the diocese. The purpose of the visits was to standardize these private schools and to ensure their effective coordination. It was also to ascertain the credibility, suitability and efficiency of the Catholic Private Schools.
The exercise commenced from 2nd through 5th August, 2016 in seven (7) schools across seven (7) parishes. A check list was developed as a guide for both the accounting and school management aspect. This was to enable the team effectively supervise and inspect activities of the schools from date of commencement.
The team was made up of an Accountant, Regional Chief Inspector of schools and a Monitoring and Supervision officer.
